What Is a Commissioner?

A Church Commissioner is a servant leader entrusted with assisting in the oversight, planning, and coordination of church affairs. Commissioners help bridge communication between church leadership, ministry leaders, and members while supporting the church's mission and strategic objectives.

Their role is to help ensure that the church remains organized, effective, and focused on fulfilling God's purpose.

 

Responsibilities of a Commissioner

Church Commissioners may serve by:

  • Supporting the pastor and church leadership in organizational matters

  • Assisting with planning and coordinating church programs and activities

  • Helping oversee church policies, procedures, and initiatives

  • Promoting unity, accountability, and excellence within the church

  • Assisting with community outreach and engagement efforts

  • Supporting stewardship of church resources and assets

  • Participating in leadership meetings and strategic planning
